Abstract: An applicator for use in cleaning surfaces, comprising: a bottom surface; a handle disposed above the bottom surface; means for releasably attaching a pad to the bottom surface; and an actuator, accessible from the handle, for actuating the means for releasably attaching the pad to the bottom surface. The means for releasably attaching preferably has a plurality of feet which move between a first position within the applicator to a second position outside the applicator. When the feet are in the second position they can contact a cleaning pad. The feet include means (such as a hook-and-loop fastener) for gripping the cleaning pad, so that when the feet are in the second position, which is the at-rest position, they grip the cleaning pad. When the feet are moved to the first position, they release the pad, allowing for the disposal thereof without having to touch the soiled pad.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to shield apparatuses configured to hold syringe assemblies in a manner that preserves their ease of use and convenience. In some embodiments, the syringe assemblies are detachable, and the shield apparatuses provide for convenient interchanging of the needle assemblies, as well as methods for administering injections to a patient.

Abstract: A clamping device is disclosed of band material and including an adjustment device similar to a conventional hose clamp however having a variable accessibility achieved by a drive screw being orientable perpendicular to the conventional drive screw and parallel to the axis of the gripping aperture. The perpendicular drive screw can include a locking tip at the opposite end from the head thereof to facilitate securement within the housing of the adjustment device to facilitate retaining of the screw herein or facilitate removal of the screw therefrom selectively. The housing may include a single or double aperture to facilitate driving of the screw in the opposite direction for tightening or loosening selectively by positioning of the screw. The drive screw can also extend through the opposite side to achieve this same purpose by driving of the conventional drive gear in the opposite direction.
