  • Patent number: 5017258
Abstract: An epoxy resin composition containing an imidazole curing agent is useful in processes for lining the interior surfaces of buried pipes. The imidazole is non-substituted at the 1 position and is preferably alkyl-substituted at the 2 position, such as 2-propyl imidazole. Pipe-lining compositions using such imidazole-cured systems have long working lives, short cure times at moderate temperatures, low tendency to exotherm, insensitivity to moisture, and low creep and shrinkage, resulting in a pipe-lining system which can be used in a wide range of field conditions and produces a superior pipe liner.

  • Patent number: 4130364
Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating paving material wherein the asphalt material is tumbled within an inclined drum so that it initially passes through the center portion of a stream of hot gases and is conveyed rearwardly and then is subsequently dropped through a more peripheral portion of the hot gas stream and conveyed rearwardly at a faster rate than it was initially. The apparatus comprises a wheeled frame, an elongated drum having a cylindrical inner surface and which is supported on the frame for rotational movement about its longitudinal axis, a feed chute communicating with the inlet end of the drum, and LP gas burners mounted at the opposite end of the drum so as to direct a flame and stream of hot gas centrally through a drum toward the inlet. A plurality of flights are secured to the drum inner surface which extend radially inward toward the drum longitudinal axis and extend rearwardly in a direction parallel to the axis.

  • Patent number: 4091584
Abstract: A skeletal building frame and buildings configured therefrom that can be assembled and disassembled by unskilled personnel with a minimum of tools and connectors. A preferred embodiment is a module fabricated from lightweight, low cost polyvinyl tubing consisting of a rectangular base connected at its corners by elbows, a ridgepole supported by vertical members connected to the base end members, and a plurality of arcuate ribs formed by passing straight tubes through lateral openings in the ridgepole, bending the ends of the tubes downward and inserting in vertically disposed openings in the side members of the base. The tensions created from the bending of the straight tubes are utilized to maintain the integrity of the skeletal frame. The frame may be covered with translucent plastic film or fiberglass panels and utilized as a greenhouse, storage shelter, garage and the like. The frame may be fabricated in a variety of sizes and extended by joining two or more modules.
