Discretely formed slots in the rimband components of the combination enable the compatibly formed mounting brackets to be laterally shifted to exact positionings prior to affixal tightening of the tension banding thereover.

Abstract: Apparatus for high voltage conditioning cathode ray tubes having internal electrodes connected to external base pins includes a container having a pair of electrical contact members therein and passing therethrough to a high voltage potential source and to a conditioning potential source with a liquid having a dielectric strength greater than the dielectric strength of air disposed within the container for immersing the base pins therein to effect contact thereof with the electrical contact members of the container.

Abstract: A base for a cathode ray tube includes a rubber washer having apertures of a size to fix over the glass nubbins surrounding the bottom of the tube pins where they exit from the neck of the tube. The base also includes a walled rim which contains the washer.

Abstract: An improvement combination is provided in cathode ray tube construction for expediting improved tube processing and subsequent tube operation. The combination is incorporated in the funnel portion of the tube wherein a first low resistive electrical conductive coating is interiorly disposed in a substantially circumferential manner on the forward portion of the funnel nearest the screen. A high resistive electrical conductive coating is substantially circumferentially interiorly disposed on substantially the intermediate portion of the funnel being contiguous with the first coating, and making contact with a second low resistive electrical conductive coating interiorly disposed on substantially the rear portion of the funnel. This second coating extends into the forward region of the integral neck portion to facilitate electrical connection with the electron gun assembly positioned therein.
