    Abstract: A workmen protecting safety light for roof perimeter edge protection includes a pair of invisible light beam units, one bearing a light beam source and the other being a light beam receiver/control, and a relay box together with audio warning and signalling apparatus. Supporting structure includes a base support frame, a sub-base, tripod support, vertically and horizontally adjustable support pipes and clamping structures. All the foregoing are combined to provide an easily, quickly and accurately installed perimeter safety light protection device. A plurality of specially sized and marked pipes, support brackets for the light units, and specific adjusting/clamping structures are all important features of the invention. Preferably, the units are supplied in kit form and, therefore, suitable containers are provided for holding same in compact, easily shippable and stored form, ready for quick and easy assembly at a job site.

    Abstract: An insulation blanket for the roof of a metal building installed between the roof purlins and roof paneling includes a concealed safety reinforcement of tapes or netting between the insulating material of the blanket and the interior facing thereof. The arrangement enables the reinforced insulation blanket to support the weight of a workman who inadvertently steps on it while installing a roof.

    Abstract: A panel locator for moving bundles of panels from one place to another on a roof includes a base section movably mounted on roof purlins, and a tower section extending upwardly from the base section, and a boom section pivotably mounted on the tower section. The locator has the capability for maintaining a level orientation on a sloped roof and can change direction of movement from along the roof length to up and down the slope.

    Abstract: A moving work station for use in placing roof panels on a building roof. The station includes a platform which has collapsible fences mounted thereon to insure the safety of workmen using the work station and has motive power means for moving the work station from location to location on a roof. Material handling means are mounted on the work station platform for moving roof panels and insulation onto the platform from locations on the roof, as well as for placing the insulation onto the roof. The material handling means also includes means for maintaining the insulation in position on the purlins until that insulation is secured thereto. A method of laying roof panels onto a building is also disclosed.
