  • Patent number: 4109791
Abstract: A nestable and stackable container assembly including a nestable container body molded of plastic material and a pair of bail structures also molded of plastic material pivotally mounted on the end walls of the container body for movement between nesting positions permitting a plurality of like container assemblies to nest one within another and stacking positions enabling a plurality of like containers to stack one on top of the other, the end walls and bail structures being constructed to provide strength and support when stacked without providing excessive wall thicknesses or excessive reduction in nesting height or container capacity, the container body and bail structures having integrally formed cooperating rounded projections for yieldingly resisting movement of the bail structures out of either their stacking positions or nesting positions.
