  • Publication number: 20080035825
Abstract: A picture hanging system for stretched artist canvas intended to be hung on a wall without a frame, comprising a frame support means attached to the inside of the wood frame upon which said artist canvas has been stretched, and a specially designed hanger intended to support said picture when it is hung on a wall. Said hanger is attached to a wall by means of a nail passing through holes in said hanger, said nail driven into said wall at an angle. Said hanger has a sloped “ramp” upon which said frame support (and with it the frame to which said frame support is attached) rests when said picture is hung on a wall. When said hanger is attached to a wall, said ramp slopes toward said wall. Said frame support (and with it the frame to which said frame support is attached) will slide by force of gravity toward said wall and said picture will come to rest flush and flat against said wall.

  • Patent number: 6763554
Abstract: A strap-form tie which makes use of self-engaging back-to-back hook and loop material (hooks on one of the tie and the loop component on the opposite surface), with a special tab on one end to facilitate wrapping. The tie overlaps itself and attaches to itself, adjusting to the diameter of the object(s) being enclosed. The tie is untied simply by peeling it apart, and it may be re-used repeatedly. This novel design makes practical many new uses for strap-form ties.

  • Patent number: 5044690
Abstract: A folding stool comprising a pair of hinged seat supports (10) connected to a pair of hinged leg supports (22) by way of a pair of pivots (26) in such a manner that the leg supports fold up into and fit within the seat supports thus making a compact package convenient to carry and store. Hinged leg supports and hinged seat supports cross each other at the point of the pivots in substantially X form when stool is open and in use. The leg supports are connected to each other by means of a flexible double acting hing (24) permitting rotation of the leg supports over the 180.degree. horizontal and, moving in concert about the pivots, leg supports and seat supports are brought into a position suitable for supporting an adult user at a comfortable, normal chair height. The dimension representing seat height when stool is in use is substantially greater than the longest dimension of the folded package.

  • Patent number: 4575905
Abstract: A single piece cleating and clamping device for securing and adjusting the effective length of wire including a body (16) and a cleat (17) is shown. The cleat is comprised of a shank member (18) and a head (20). A pair of holes (25, 26) are provided through the body and define a hole axis (71) which intersects a line (72) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (70) of the shank at an acute angle. Also shown is an elongated opening (38) extending into the interior of the body for holding the free end of stranded wire to prevent frayed ends from injuring the user.
