    Abstract: A telematics configuration platform receives telematics device data that specifies hardware and software features associated with a telematics device, and identifies a first set of values for a first set of telematics device parameters. The telematics configuration platform receives user input identifying a particular vehicle type, and identifies a second set of values for a second set of device parameters. The telematics configuration platform generates a telematics device configuration that includes a third set of device parameters including a first parameter from the first set of telematics device parameters and a second parameter from the second set of telematics device parameters, and a third set of values for the third set of device parameters, each corresponding to either a first value in the first set of values or a second value in the second set of values. The telematics configuration platform performs an action based on the telematics device configuration.
