Abstract: An apparatus and printing machine that contain a cleaner brush with long sweeper fibers orientated along the overall width of the brush, and having a greater length than the majority of fibers of the brush to remove the particles that adhere to the cleaner housing and thus, prevent toner droppings.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and printing machine are disclosed that contain a monitoring system that includes a sensor and artificial stress conditions to determine the cleaner brush life. A comparative analysis is performed from the data provided by the monitoring system of a normal cleaning residual toner particle mass and artificial stress conditions cleaning residual toner particle mass to predict brush cleaner life reliably.

Abstract: A multilayer laminated structure comprising an olefin film, preferably a polypropylene film having on a first side, of the olefin film, a highly printable blend of (A) alkylene acrylate copolymer and (B) an interpolymer of an alkyl acrylate, an alkyl methacrylate and an alkyl acrylate acid and a woven or nonwoven reinforcement laminated to a second side of the olefin film. The laminated structure is suitable for envelope stock, packaging film and label stock.

Abstract: A polymeric film substrate having on at least one surface a prime coating of the type which causes destructive film blocking between contacting layers. This prime coating is top coated with pigmented or non-pigment polyester ink base so as to eliminate the blocking. This top coating is a excellent base for printing inks.

Abstract: A printable film structure comprising a polymeric film substrate having on at least one surface thereof a prime coating of the type which causes destructive film blocking between contacting layers of such coated films, said prime coating having thereon a continuous copolyester coating consisting essentially of the polyester condensation product of the following monomers or their polyester forming equivalence:(a) about 60 to 75 mole % of terephthalic acid;(b) about 15 to 25 mole % of at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid of the formula HOOC(CH.sub.2).sub.n COOH, wherein n ranges from about 1 to 11;(c) greater than from about 6 up to about 15 mole % of at least one sulfomonomer containing an alkali metal sulfonate group attached to a dicarboxylic aromatic nucleus; and(d) stoichiometric quantities of about 100 mole % of at least one copolymerizable aliphatic or cycloalphatic alkylene glycol having from about 2 to 11 carbon atoms.
