    Abstract: A security device for preventing removal of a sliding sash from a window, and including an elongated member having a tapered end or wedge at one end thereof for insertion into the gap between the top of the sash and the window frame, and a supporting assembly for maintaining the tapered end or wedge in the gap. In lieu of the supporting assembly, the elongated member may be adjustable in length for bracing the end opposite the wedge or taper against the window frame.
