  • Patent number: 10006630
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for firing an industrial furnace, in particular for electricity generation, wherein coal or cokes together with a secondary fuel comprising cellulose and plastic, in the form of pellets of a size larger than about 3 mm thickness, and having a caloric value of about 16 GJ/ton or more is ground to a powder wherein about 95 wt % or more has a particle size smaller than 2 mm and wherein the d50 of the particle size distribution is between about 5 and about 100 ?m, wherein the powder is injected in the flame of the furnace. In this process the grinding is performed in a roller mill or ball mill, and the amount of pellets used together with the coals preferably is about 3 wt % or more, relative to the coal.

  • Publication number: 20110214341
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for processing a mixture of cellulose/plastic waste particles comprising cellulose and thermoplastic materials. The thermoplastic material constitutes at least 10 weight% of the total weight of the waste mixture The cellu-lose/plastic waste mixture is first dried by treatment with a medium with a temperature in the range of 50 to 150 ° C., wherein the exit temperature of the drying medium has a temperature of 115 ° C. or less. The dried cellulose/plastic waste mixture is then fed to a purification stage, and subjected to the operation of the purification stage. The purification stage comprises at least one separator selected from the group of: wind separator, sieve, metal separator, separator for separating out chlorine- containing components, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20100116181
Abstract: Method of making cellulose/plastic pellets in which a particulate cellulose/plastic mixture comprising more than 60 to 95 weight % of cellulosic material and 5 to less than 40 weight % of thermoplastic material, based on the total dry weight of cellulosic and thermoplastic materials, and 1 to 15 weight % of moisture, based on the total weight of the mixture, is supplied at a temperature T1 of at most 90° C. to a pelletizing device comprising an annular mould with holes having a diameter D of at most 8 mm and an effective hole length L to hole diameter D ratio R of at least 7, the values of R and T1 being chosen in relation to one another so that the temperature T2 of the pellets leaving the annular mould is between 80 and 125° C. and the T2-T1 rise in temperature is at least 10° C., and cellulose/plastic pellets obtainable by said method.

  • Patent number: 7223837
Abstract: This invention is directed to prodrugs that can be activated at the preferred site of action in order to selectively deliver the corresponding therapeutic parent drugs to target cells or to the target site. This invention will therefore primarily but not exclusively relate to tumor cells as target cells. More specifically the prodrugs are compounds of the formula V—(W)k—(X)l—A—Z, wherein: V is a specifier; (W)k—(X)l—A is an elongated self-elimination spacer system; W and X are each a 1,(4+2n) electronic cascade spacer, being the same or different; A is either a spacer group of formula (Y)m wherein: Y is a 1,(4+2n) electronic cascade spacer, or a group of formula U being a cyclization elimination spacer; Z is a therapeutic drug; k, l and m are integers from 0 (included) to 5 (included); n is an integer of 0 (included) to 10 (included), with the provisos that: —when A is (Y)m: k+l+m?1, and if k+l+m=1; —when A is U: k+l?1.
