  • Publication number: 20040219173
Abstract: A method for the treatment of humans having HIV infection. Sodium chloride in a solid formulation or sodium chloride a solution formulation is used.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20030157194
Abstract: A method for the topical treatment of skin affected with cellulite. Sodium chloride, potassium chloride, or a combination thereof, in a solid block formulation, is topically applied to the affected skin by gently gliding the solid block over the affected skin in a manner insufficient to cause abrasion and debridement of the affected skin. Preferably employed is a solid block of about 95 to about 100% by weight sodium chloride. Also preferably, the block of sodium chloride and/or potassium chloride is free of a carrier and/or other topical cellulite-treatment medicaments and/or cosmetics. The applied sodium chloride and/or potassium chloride is left on the skin.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 19, 2002
    Publication date: August 21, 2003

  • Patent number: 6352724
Abstract: A method for the topical treatment of skin affected with acne, rosacea, or a combination thereof. Sodium chloride in a substantially pure form is topically applied to the affected skin by gently gliding the sodium chloride over the affected skin in a manner insufficient to cause abrasion and debridement of the affected skin. A solid block of about 98% to about 100% by weight sodium chloride free of a carrier and/or free of other topical acne-treatment medicaments and/or free of other topical rosacea-treatment medicaments should be used. The applied sodium chloride is left on the skin. Preferably, the affected skin is pre-moistened with water from shaving, bathing, splashing water on the skin, and the like prior to gliding the sodium chloride thereon.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 11, 1996
Date of Patent: March 5, 2002

  • Patent number: 5869104
Abstract: A method for the topical treatment of skin affected with a dermatological condition selected from the group consisting of impetigo, epidermolysis bullosa, eczema, neurodermatitis, psoriasis, pruritis, erythema, hidradenitis suppurativa, warts, diaper rash, jock itch, and combinations thereof. For most conditions, sodium chloride, in a substantially pure form as a solid block, is topically applied to the affected skin by gently gliding the block over the affected skin in a manner insufficient to cause abrasion and debridement of the affected skin. For certain conditions, such as epidermolysis bullosa, sodium chloride in the form of an aqueous solution preferably should be used. The applied sodium chloride is left on the skin.
