  • Patent number: 9498346
Abstract: An implant is provided which allows for widening of the vertebral canal of vertebrae with less stress on the patient than in heretofore customary surgical procedures, wherein the vertebral arch of a vertebra is cut through, forming an incision gap, or is partially removed and the implant is inserted in the incision gap, wherein the incision gap is bounded by incision faces opposed to each other and the implant comprises an implant body having two contact faces which in the inserted state in the incision gap contact the incision faces of the vertebral arch.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 9, 2013
Date of Patent: November 22, 2016
    Assignee: Aesculap AG
Inventors: Jens Beger, Ralph Linke, Petr Suchomel, Susanne Klingseis
  • Patent number: 9351781
Abstract: To provide a method with which expansion of the vertebral canal of vertebrae is possible with less stress for the patient than with the surgical methods used to date, it is proposed that herein the vertebral arch be split and an incision gap thereby be formed, and the incision gap bounded by opposed incision surfaces be expanded to a prescribed gap width and the bone substance of the resulting vertebral arch sections thereby be elastically/plastically deformed.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8414594
Abstract: To facilitate the insertion of bone screws into a bone plate, a magazine for receiving at least one bone screw is proposed, which comprises a device for releasably securing the magazine to a bone plate, a receiving chamber extending continuously from the upper side to the underside of the magazine, a bone screw being arranged in the receiving chamber in such a way that when the magazine is secured to the bone plate, the distal tip of the bone screw is directed at a screw-in opening in the bone plate, and the proximal end of the bone screw is accessible to a screwing-in tool from the upper side of the magazine, and a fixing device for releasably fixing the bone screw in the receiving chamber. The invention also relates to a bone plate having at least one such magazine releasably secured thereto.

  • Publication number: 20120265213
Abstract: A surgical instrument and instrumentation are suggested, with which expansion of the vertebral canal of vertebrae is possible with less stress for the patient than with operating procedures customary up to now, this instrument having proximally a gripping part and distally two branches which can be moved relative to one another with tool elements held thereon as well as a lever mechanism arranged between the gripping part and the branches, wherein the tool elements are held with the lever mechanism so as to be movable relative to one another from a closed rest position into an open spread position (distraction position).

  • Patent number: 6919221
Abstract: The electronic module whose electronic components are connected by conductor tracks has a housing with a base body housing made of electrically non-conductive plastic. The base body housing is provided with recessed conduits on the inside surface of its housing wall, and a galvanizable plastic is introduced into these conduits. The conductor tracks are formed by a metallization applied onto the galvanizable plastic and they can run three-dimensionally along different wall sections of the base body housing.
