    Abstract: A dual child seat nestable shopping cart including a front overhanging basket, at least two inwardly-facing child seats positioned behind the basket on opposite sides of the cart, each seat having an upright backrest arranged along the opposite sides of the cart, wherein the seats and backrests are positioned such that a front overhanging portion of a basket of a similar cart may be nested over the seat and between the backrests for enabling nesting of similar carts when the seats are unoccupied. The child seats may constitute a portion of a single shopping cart assembly or may be constructed as a module for retrofitting a conventional standard nestable shopping cart.
