  • Patent number: 12070784
Abstract: A method for inducing local heating in a sheet metal structure includes the step of providing a sheet metal structure to be heated. In a further step a magnetic field generator is provided and in a further step the magnetic field generator is positioned adjacent to the sheet metal structure in the area to be treated such that it forms a resonance circuit arrangement together with the sheet metal structure. In a further step at least one calibration current pulse having a specific frequency is applied to the resonance circuit arrangement in order to determine the resonance frequency of the resonance circuit arrangement. In a further step at least one power current pulse is applied to the resonance circuit arrangement with the operation frequency of the current pulse corresponding to the resonance frequency of the resonance circuit arrangement as determined by the at least one calibration current pulse.
