  • Patent number: 10154169
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide for a method, system, and computer program for increasing the success of a facsimile transmission. In an embodiment of the invention, the method includes writing a record to a database during a failed attempt at transmitting a fax image by the fax server, receiving each of a new fax image to be transmitted to a recipient, a specified fax sender, and also at least a portion of a phone number, and retrieving a current selected configuration stored for the specified fax sender. The method further includes querying the database to determine whether the current selected configuration of the specified fax sender matches a record in the database, and if a match is found, establishing that a prior facsimile transmitted by the specified fax sender was unsuccessful, but on condition that no match is found, transmitting the new fax image by the fax server.

  • Patent number: 8619338
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods related to data communication. A method includes consulting a database for information relating to the performance history of one or more facsimile transmitting devices. The database includes a performance score for one or more facsimile transmitting devices, and the performance score reflects the success or failure of a transmission of a data communication for an individual one of one or more facsimile transmitting device. The method further includes using the performance score to select an individual facsimile transmitting device from the one or more facsimile transmitting devices and attempting to transmit the data communication using the selected individual facsimile transmitting device.

  • Publication number: 20080174829
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods that provide a streamlined process for receiving and transmitting facsimile documents to one or more non-facsimile enabled destinations. The systems and methods can also convert received documents into a second format before transmission. Among other benefits, the streamlined systems and methods of the present invention, which do not require document storage between receipt and later transmittal, can lessen the risk of document transmittal failure.
