  • Publication number: 20220160899
Abstract: The present invention provides compositions comprising nucleic acid molecules, such as mRNA molecules, encapsulated within lipid particles. The compositions are useful, for example, to introduce the mRNA molecules into a human subject where they are translated to produce a polypeptide that functions to ameliorate one or more symptoms of a disease.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 1, 2021
    Publication date: May 26, 2022
    Applicant: ARBUTUS BIOPHARMA CORPORATION
Inventors: Michael J. ABRAMS, James HEYES, Adam JUDGE, Kieu Mong LAM, Lorne Ralph PALMER, Stephen P. REID, Edward D. YAWORSKI
  • Publication number: 20220062323
Abstract: The invention provides conjugates that comprise a bivalent targeting moiety, a nucleic acid, and optional linking groups as well as synthetic intermediates and synthetic methods useful for preparing the conjugates, compositions comprising the bidentate targeting ligands and the conjugates, as well as methods for targeting therapeutic nucleic acids with the bidentate conjugates. The conjugates are useful to target therapeutic nucleic acids.

  • Publication number: 20220000778
Abstract: The invention provides certain specific lipid nanoparticles comprising: (a) one or more nucleic acid molecules; (b) cholesterol; (c) DSPC; (d) PEG-C-DMA; and (e) a cationic lipid; and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the lipid nanoparticles. The lipid nanoparticles and pharmaceutical compositions are particularly useful for delivering a nucleic acid such as siRNA or mRNA to a patient (e.g. a human) or to a cell.

  • Publication number: 20080000660
Abstract: An implement is disclosed having a unique blade assembly, a unique claw assembly, and a unique gradient system for raising, lowering, leveling, and changing the gradient of an implement. The blade angle and blade pitch can be independently adjusted on the blade assembly. The blade assembly and claw assembly use chains to provide force to the lower portions of the blade and prongs, respectively, to maintain the position of the lower portions of the blade and prongs, respectively, when there is forward motion of the implement. The gradient system enables independent height adjustment of each side, right and left, of the implement. When the gradient system is incorporated into the same implement as the blade assembly, the combination makes the gradient of the blade adjustable as well.

  • Publication number: 20050144995
Abstract: A lock system is provided including a lock core and a token. The lock core comprises a core body, a lock actuator coupled to the core body for rotation about an axis, a blocking body, and a solenoid. The solenoid has a shaft that is movable between a first position in which the blocking body is locked to prevent rotation of the lock actuator about the axis and a second position in which the blocking body is unlocked to allow rotation of the lock actuator about the axis. The token is couplable mechanically to the lock actuator. The solenoid moves the shaft from the first position to the second position so that the blocking body is unlocked if the token has a valid access code.
