  • Patent number: 11083333
Abstract: Apparatus and method for grilling foodstuffs over an open heat source comprising a stake for securing into a ground surface proximate a heat source; a skewer configured for adjustable connection with the stake; and a clamp configured to secure the skewer in connection to the stake and in a selected position with respect to the stake so the skewer extends substantially perpendicularly to the stake and is positioned over a heat source in a substantially horizontal orientation. The clamp is configured to secure the skewer such that the skewer is prevented from lateral movement with respect to the stake and heat source. A handle extends away from skewer and supports the skewer by clamp arms that prevent unwanted or unaided movement and rotation, while allowing a user to selectively rotate the skewer, exposing various sides of the foodstuff directly to the heat source by turning the handle.

  • Patent number: 9781917
Abstract: A trap for retaining a live animal includes a housing, a spring-biased loop retainer movable into and out of the housing and a latch having an arcuate section. A trigger is disposed to engage an aperture in the latch wherein the trigger is positioned to extend into and out of the housing such that the arcuate section of the latch engages the spring-biased loop retainer to move the loop retainer into the housing. A method of setting a trap for catching a live animal comprises moving a restraining segment of an animal leg retainer into a housing by engaging an arcuate section of a latch against the retainer. The arcuate section is engaged by applying a downward force to the latch to cause the restraining segment to be positioned in a set position for engaging the animal leg.

  • Publication number: 20170028897
Abstract: A low speed transport and docking system for a watercraft comprising a wheeled frame for supporting the watercraft and configured for transport over a land surface by way of at least one pair of ground engaging wheels and for docking the watercraft in and out of a body of water. The axle rotatably securing the ground engaging wheels to the frame comprises angled terminal end lengths such that the wheels are offset from the center length of the axle so that a winch system and locking mechanism together are operably connected to the axle for rotating the axle to adjust the height between the wheels and the frame such that the wheels are engaged with the ground while the frame height can be raised or lowered for transport and/or docking of the watercraft such that the watercraft can be docked in the water or on land and transported to and from water with a single system.
