    Abstract: An aqueous clear, homogeneous liquid composition is provided for the pretreatment of fabric in advance of laundering. The composition includes a mixture of nonionic surfactants with a respective HLB less than 10 and greater than 10. Also present will be a hydrocarbon solvent and the salt of a C.sub.12 -C.sub.22 fatty acid. One embodiment of the composition is an aerosol mousse discharging as a foam that will a number of times alternately expand and collapse.

    Abstract: An aqueous liquid bleaching composition is described having a pH from 1 to 6.5 and comprising a solid, particulate, substantially water-insoluble organic peroxy acid such as diperoxydodecanedioic acid. This peroxy acid is stably suspended in an aqueous liquid by a structuring combination of anionic surfactant, ethoxylated nonionic surfactant, and fatty acid.

    Abstract: A fabric softening particle is provided comprising a mixture of quaternary ammonium ion-exchanged clay having an ion-exchange capacity of at least about 10 meq/100 gms and preferably about 50 meq/100 gms and a water-insoluble quaternary ammonium salt in the ratio of 1:3 to 3:1. The particle softens more efficiently than either of its components. When incorporated into a detergent powder, detergency is not diminished as would occur when either of the particle components are separately incorporated.
