  • Patent number: 10316926
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for manufacturing a hydraulic engine mount. During assembly, one or more gel caps may be inserted into a chamber of the engine mount, the chamber is then filled with a fluid and sealed to allow the gel caps to dissolve. Upon dissolving, the gel caps may release air bubbles to reduce pressure differentials across the engine mount to reduce occurrence of cavitation and NVH issues.

  • Patent number: 8678786
Abstract: A scroll compressor may be provided with a check valve interposed between a balance chamber and a discharge chamber. The check valve may allow balance chamber pressure to remain low during start-up of the compressor. Low balance chamber pressure may allow an orbiting scroll to remain unclamped to a fixed scroll thereby reducing torque required to initiate rotation of the orbiting scroll. After steady-state operational speed is reached the check valve may close and the scrolls may be clamped together to produce a desired steady-state operating condition for the compressor.

  • Publication number: 20120084544
Abstract: Methods and systems for securely connecting a client computer having a secure boot device to a remote server over a communications network are disclosed. One method includes booting a client computer from a trusted set of processing modules stored in the secure boot device, verifying the contents of the trusted set of processing modules prior to execution of these processing modules, and providing authentication information from data stored upon the secure boot device to an authentication server to establish a secure connection to the remote server. The method also includes establishing the secure connection with the remote server using encryption keys stored on the secure boot device, and transferring data between the client computer and the remote server over the secure connection to perform transactions initiated by a user of the client computer. In the disclosed method, the remote server utilizes encryption keys associated with a unique ID from the secure boot device.

  • Publication number: 20080086393
Abstract: The present invention automates the process of receiving transportation documentation and producing advance loading manifests therefrom to optimize load planning and dynamic product shipment and delivery control. Methods provide for receipt of the transportation documentation, initial preparation, and transmission of the documentation from on board a vehicle or while the vehicle is in transit. A remote processor receives the documentation, stores the documentation and feeds the documentation to a load planning software for generation of advance loading manifests from the remote processor and receive them on demand. Further, a mobile data transmission device is provided for use by a driver to communicate transportation documentation, and vehicle information to the remote processor, and, in some applications, can receive instructions for en route alterations of package pickup or delivery. The documentation can reside on a server remotely accessible by customers.
