  • Patent number: 4223538
Abstract: An improved refrigerator partition bottom closure support frame assembly comprising a pair of side wall sections and a rear wall section whereby the closure may be slidably removed and reinstalled without removal of the closure support. The support frame provides concealed adjustment gaps compensating for tolerance and manufacturing variations so as to reduce assembly time and improve the appearance of the refrigerator.

  • Patent number: 4220266
Abstract: A refrigerator freezer door has an ice service area in its outer face including an actuator for opening a passage closure member. Upon depressing the actuator a switch is closed to energize a power driven ice dispenser in the freezer compartment which discharges ice pieces down a chute and into the passage through the freezer door to the service area. A suction cup positioned on the actuator has an air bleed passageway to delay return movement of the actuator and closing of the closure member until the chute has emptied its ice pieces into the passageway.

  • Patent number: 4009648
Abstract: A room air conditioner having oscillatable vertical vanes pivotally mounted to be driven by a horizontally movable notch tie bar which is oscillated in the direction of its length to provide horizontal air sweep. The vanes have a pressure relief arrangement in the form of a vertical living hinge integrally provided as a part of each vane to reduce breakage. The vanes are provided with drive arms terminating in pivot pins which are snapped into driving engagement with resilient arms formed on the tie bar.

  • Patent number: 3998069
Abstract: An adjustable air deflector condensate directing tray and food receptacle shelf support cover for a refrigerator cabinet shelf. The cover includes side flanges, spaced to depend between shelf longitudinal openings, with the flanges having opposed trackways for receiving outwardly flared receptacle top flanges. The tray is releasably retained in the opposed trackways allowing same to initially protrude rearwardly of the removed shelf. Upon the cover and tray being assembled with the shelf and the shelf assembly being installed in the cabinet, tray stop members contact the cabinet rear wall to telescope the tray in the trackways thereby compensating for cabinet liner rear wall out of plane undulations providing a baffle for directing refrigerated air into the receptacle while condensate collected thereon is directed to the cabinet liner rear wall.

  • Patent number: 3969097
Abstract: A slab type ice maker including an inclined refrigerated plate assembly is associated with a mechanically driven refrigerant compressor to cool the plate below freezing during an ice making cycle of operation whereby water circulated thereover by means of a motor driven pump will produce an ice slab thickness on the plate which is removed therefrom during a hot gas defrost harvest cycle of operation to be directed onto a heated grid for separation into individual cubes which are collected in a storage bin having a bin level thermostat therein that operates when the bin is filled to terminate machine operation.
