    Abstract: A weedless jig having an improved stainless steel wire weedguard (31) which provides snag protection to a hook point (22) from the top, front, both sides, and the back. Said weedguard terminates near said hook point in a weed-shedding geometrically shaped snag deflector (28). A novel method creates an encasement (30) which provides the wire weedguard with a smooth surface.
