    Abstract: This invention relates to a nose shoe for a mechanically driven cutter chain. The cylindrical nose shoe is capable of being indexed about a central pivot point so as to reposition the outermost surface to compensate for wear. The nose shoe is rotatable in distinct segments, and is locked during operation by means of bolts extending through the cutter assembly in the nose shoe.
