Abstract: A portable computing device may include a set of magnetic elements and a set of electrical contacts. An electronic device may include a sensor may also include a set of magnetic elements and a set of electrical contacts. The portable computing device may attach to the electronic device using the set of magnetic elements and may exchange data with the electronic device using the set of electrical contacts. A power source may also include a set of magnetic elements and a set of electrical contacts. The power source may couple with the portable computing device using the set of magnetic elements and may provide power to the portable computing device using the electrical contacts.

Abstract: A user may carry a wearable device and may push a button on the wearable device to initiate a voice call. A computing system receives the request to initiate a voice call and may analyze datasets provided by the wearable device. The computing system may dynamically route voice calls to different destinations based on datasets received from a wearable device.

Abstract: A wearable device for detecting a user state is disclosed. The wearable device includes an accelerometer for measuring an acceleration of a user, a magnetometer for measuring a magnetic field associated with the user's change of orientation, a microphone for receiving audio, a memory for storing the audio, and at least one processor communicatively connected to the accelerometer, the magnetometer, the microphone, and the memory. The processor is identified to declare a measured acceleration as a suspected user state, and to categorize the suspected user state based on the stored audio as one of an activity of daily life (ADL), a confirmed user state, or an inconclusive event.

Abstract: Method and system for managing and prioritizing windows based on touch strip inputs. A method may include detecting a user gesture on a touch strip positioned on a screen, where the screen has multiple regions, and each region is associated with a set of applications. The method further includes identifying at least one of the regions that corresponds to the user gesture, determining which action should be performed with respect to at least one application associated with the identified region, and performing the action with respect to the at least one application associated with the identified region.
