Abstract: Approaches for managing business functions for one or more companies are disclosed. In an implementation, business rules that enable a workflow to be initiated (e.g., without an explicit user request for the initiation of the workflow) upon detection of an event associated with at least one of the business rules may be stored. Responsive to detection of a first event, a first business rule of the business rules that is associated with the first event may be identified. A first workflow that comprises one or more tasks associated with the first business rule and a first entity may be initiated based on the first business rule. A first task of the one or more tasks may be assigned to a first user associated with the first entity.
