Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-planar camera apparatus in which movable image capturing members that are connected to lateral space variators that are arranged to move laterally, horizontally and vertically in multiple planes and to cyclorotate, while capturing 3-D spatial images of the target-subject with enhanced depth angle and displaying directly through eye piece complexes or through a display unit. The multi-planar camera apparatus of the present invention is provided with a wider field of view to capture panoramic images of target-subjects. Further, the multi-planar camera of the present invention is equipped to capture 3-D spatial images of the target-subject without tilting or turning the body of the camera apparatus. Furthermore, the multi-planar camera apparatus of the present invention obliterates 3-D triangle of invisibility that forms between the image capturing members.

  • Patent number: 8934169
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a dual objective stereomicroscope in which the two objectives are moved independent of each other along an angular axis by a mechanism to provide a stereoscopic image of an object. The microscope has two optical paths formed respectively with an objective lens, a primary mirror, a focusing mirror and an eye piece. The plane of the primary mirror is arranged normal to the plane of the objective lens. The focusing mirror is arranged in parallel to the primary mirror to reflect a beam of light received from the objective lens through the primary mirror to the eye piece. The primary mirror is moved synchronously with the movement of the objective lens.

  • Patent number: 8920495
Abstract: The various embodiments of the present invention provide a multi-optics intraocular lens (IOL) scaffold assembly for incorporation into a capsular bag of an eye of a subject, provided with a ring platform and a protective umbrella. Several anterior and posterior ribs are hinged to the ring platform to support a posterior lens and an anterior lens. The dynamic spring elastic junctions are provided between the anterior and posterior ribs. The pendulum IOL assembly of the multi-optics intraocular lens (IOL) scaffold assembly enables a near vision of the objects using an optical system designed for a distance focusing in normal gaze. The pendulum IOL assembly has a posterior lens fixed to an equatorial ring platform and a secondary hanging lens provided with a weight at the lower end to act like a pendulum which swings with the posture of the eye.

  • Publication number: 20130311199
Abstract: The present invention provides a system to evaluate of Tissue Manipulation Events (TMEs) performed on a subject, by a practitioner and providing a corresponding ranking-score thereof. The system includes a contour image capturing and recording devices adapted to capture and record, in real time, the contours of a surgical tool and a tissue and tissue manipulating events of a subject, which are connected to a data receiver for receiving the vector image data. At least a database including bench-mark surgical parameters, tissue and tool parameters are connected to the system. A processor coupled to the data receiver and the databases and configured to convert the vector image data (raw image) into pixelated frames, evaluate tissue manipulation events and generate a performance score for the task performed on the subject. The present invention also provides a method for evaluation of manual skills in tissue manipulating events performed.

  • Publication number: 20130113894
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a variable three-dimensional camera assembly for still photography. The assembly consists of a housing to encase two cameras for capturing and projecting left and right eye views. The telescopically movable arms are fixed to the housing and fixed with two objectives. The arms are moved manually or using a motorized control to enable the objectives to converge on a desired target simultaneously. The images captured by the cameras are passed through the two eyepieces to project a 3-D image. A single common control unit regulates the image processing units provided for simultaneous 3-D viewing of the images of the target object. A horizon parallel indicator system is arranged to hold the cameras horizontally. A multi position primary lens/prism/mirrors complex unit (LMPC4) is provided to adjust the convergence accurately to improve the 3-D effect.
