    Abstract: A method for managing payouts to parties to a transaction, including receiving a customer request for a service transaction, and transmitting the customer request to at least one service provider terminal. The method includes receiving a service completion message from the at least one service provider terminal. The method includes determining that at least one surge parameter applies to the service transaction. The method includes determining a surge payout split based on the determination that at least one surge parameter applies to the service transaction and generating a surge payout split request based on the surge payout split. The method includes transmitting the surge payout request to a payment network server, and receiving an account update from the payment network server, the account update reflecting the surge payout split.
