Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor, a system baseboard management controller (BMC), and a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) add-in card. The FPGA add-in card includes an FPGA and a card BMC. The FPGA is programmed with a plurality of accelerated function units (AFUs) to perform processing tasks for the processor. The card BMC receives a first indication from the system BMC, the first indication to halt a first processing task associated with a first AFU, halts the first processing task in response to the first indication, receives a second AFU from the system BMC, and reprograms the FPGA with the second AFU.

  • Patent number: 11429541
Abstract: On power-up, self-encrypting drives (SEDs, 150) are unlocked one after another in an order based on the SEDs' unlocking priorities. In determining the priorities, one or more of the following factors are taken into account: (1) the content stored on the SEDs; the SEDs storing the OS are given higher priorities; (2) the SEDs' access history on previous power-ups: if a SED was accessed earlier than other SEDs, then this SED is given a higher priority; (3) whether there is an access request pending for a SED. Such prioritization allows the system to reach full functionality faster on power-ups. Other features are also provided.

  • Patent number: 11417195
Abstract: A fire alarm system design layout map is used in conjunction with a mobile computing device, an indoor tracking system and a connected services system to automate the process of determining the intended slave address for each slave device, assigning the slave address to the slave device, and verifying the assignment of the slave address to the slave device. The mobile computing device sends the location of a slave device to the connected services system, which maps the location to its corresponding position on the layout map and returns the intended slave address for that slave device. The slave address is assigned wirelessly to the slave device. The assignment of the slave address to the slave device is then verified by the connected services system.

  • Patent number: 11415664
Abstract: A method for obtaining an adaptive angle-Doppler ambiguity function (AF) for a target using multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) radar that includes a transmit antenna array having a plurality of antenna elements. The method includes generating transmit signals for transmission by the transmit antenna array, the transmit signals defining at least a first transmit trajectory of a phase center within the transmit antenna array; transmitting the transmit signals using the transmit antenna array and receiving receive signals from the target, the receive signals resulting from the incidence of the transmit signals upon the target; and obtaining at least an angle-Doppler ambiguity function (AF) from the receive signals. The first transmit trajectory is such that, in operation, the phase center undergoes random phase center motion (PCM), such that a phase center position within the transmit antenna array varies randomly with time. A system for obtaining an AF is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11377602
Abstract: Processes and systems for the conversion of hydrocarbons herein may include separating an effluent from a moving bed reactor, the effluent including reaction product, first particulate catalyst, and second particulate catalyst. The separating may recover a first stream including the reaction product and first particulate catalyst and a second stream including second particulate catalyst. The second stream may be admixed with a regenerated catalyst stream including both first and second particulate catalyst at an elevated temperature. The admixing may produce a mixed catalyst at a relatively uniform temperature less than the elevated regenerated catalyst temperature, where the temperature is more advantageous for contacting light naphtha and heavy naphtha within the moving bed reactor to produce the effluent including the reaction product, the first particulate catalyst, and the second particulate catalyst.

  • Patent number: 11381517
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and methods performing header protection. A device can receive from a client, a request relating to a first resource, for a second resource. The device can determine, using an identifier for the session, whether an address of the first resource has been previously accessed by the client during the session. The device can verify, using an address of the second resource, whether the address of the second resource is mapped to the address of the first resource for the session between the client and the device. The device can determine whether to provide access to the second resource responsive to the address of the first resource being previously accessed by the client during the session and the address of the second resource being mapped to the address of the first resource for the session.

  • Patent number: 11370979
Abstract: Apparatus and processes herein provide for converting hydrocarbon feeds to light olefins and other hydrocarbons. The processes and apparatus include, in some embodiments, feeding a hydrocarbon, a first catalyst and a second catalyst to a reactor, wherein the first catalyst has a smaller average particle size and is less dense than the second catalyst. A first portion of the second catalyst may be recovered as a bottoms product from the reactor, and a cracked hydrocarbon effluent, a second portion of the second catalyst, and the first catalyst may be recovered as an overhead product from the reactor. The second portion of the second catalyst may be separated from the overhead product, providing a first stream comprising the first catalyst and the hydrocarbon effluent and a second stream comprising the separated second catalyst, allowing return of the separated second catalyst in the second stream to the reactor.
