Abstract: For an efficient exchange of information particularly required for coordination of workflows in a medical or clinical environment, a method for information transmission as well as an associated information transfer system are specified. It is accordingly provided that a message sent from a transmission unit to a reception unit is compared with a number of stored patterns by a scanner unit, whereby, in the case of a positive comparison result, an action associated with the appertaining pattern is initiated.
