  • Publication number: 20240076911
Abstract: A nacelle for a gas turbine engine includes a fixed nacelle portion, a cowl panel, and a latch assembly. The fixed nacelle portion extends circumferentially about an axial centerline. The cowl panel is axially adjacent the fixed nacelle portion. The cowl panel is moveable relative to the fixed nacelle portion between an open position and a closed position. The latch assembly includes a first latch portion and a second latch portion. The first latch portion is mounted to the cowl panel. The first latch portion includes a pin configured for translation along a pin axis between an extended pin position and a retracted pin position. The second latch portion is mounted to the fixed nacelle portion. The second latch portion includes a pin guide. The pin guide is configured to receive and engage the pin with the pin in the extended position and the cowl panel in the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20240043128
Abstract: A latch mechanism is provided that includes a latch housing, latch keeper, and a latch hook adjustment assembly. The latch hook adjustment assembly includes a latch frame, latch handle, hook member, bearing block, a nut, and a spring member. The latch frame has a front wall, an interior wall, and a forward cavity. The hook member has a partially threaded shaft. The bearing block has a flange, indexing features, and a bore. The flange has opposing first and second side surfaces. The indexing features project outwardly from the second side surface and are disposed adjacent the bore. The nut has first and second axial end surfaces, a threaded nut bore, and index cavities disposed in the first axial end surface adjacent the nut bore. The bearing block, nut, and spring member are disposed in the forward cavity. The latch hook adjustment assembly is disposable in engaged and disengaged configurations.

  • Publication number: 20240001576
Abstract: A cable cutter assembly for an aircraft hoist is disclosed, and includes an actuator assembly (e.g., at least one pressurized fluid cavity, a first outlet port, and a solenoid that includes a coil and an armature). The armature is movable between closed and open positions relative to the first outlet port (e.g., via an actuation force), with the armature engaging the first outlet port for the closed position (e.g., a valve seal incorporated by the armature) and being spaced from the first outlet port for the open position. A cutter body includes a cutter body cavity that is fluidly connected with the first outlet port. A cutter is movably disposed within the cutter body cavity. Disposing the armature in the open position (e.g., via energizing the coil) fluidly connects the pressurized fluid cavity with the cutter body cavity to move the cutter in a cable cutting direction.
