  • Patent number: 10671443
Abstract: Disclosed herein are computer-implemented method, system, and computer-readable storage-medium embodiments for implementing infrastructure resource monitoring and migration. An embodiment includes retrieving, via an API, a plurality of resource metrics; and ingesting, via a data-processing pipeline, the plurality of resource metrics. Some embodiments may further include queuing, via a stream-processing platform, the plurality of resource metrics. The first set of resource metrics and second set of resource metrics may be selected by at least one computer processor via an application framework. Further embodiments may include populating a time-series database with data comprising the first set of resource metrics and second set of resource metrics, using the at least one computer processor. The at least one computer processor may compute first and second indices corresponding to respective first and second values and perform comparison of the indices.

  • Patent number: 9272836
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention are directed to a metered dose container that is transit proof. A container of the present invention may comprise a body having a vertical axis; a cap movable along the vertical axis of the body; a removable ring coupled to and between the moveable cap and the body, and a barrier, inside the body and coupled to the moveable cap. The barrier may define a loading chamber and separate the body into a storage chamber and a dispensing chamber. The barrier is adapted to be movable along the vertical axis of the body to form a transit position and a dispensing position.

  • Publication number: 20120177498
Abstract: An axial retention device for a turbine system is disclosed. The axial retention device includes a pocket defined in a mating surface of one of a turbine component and a support structure. The pocket includes a first axial load surface. The axial retention device further includes a latch comprising a base member and a pivotal member. The base member is associated with a mating surface of the other of the turbine component and the support structure. The pivotal member is configured to engage the pocket and includes a first mating axial load surface. Engagement of the pivotal member and the pocket allows the first axial load surface and the first mating axial load surface to interact, preventing axial movement of the turbine component with respect to the support structure in the at least one direction.

  • Patent number: 6643799
Abstract: A system and method for diagnosing and validating a machine with waveform data generated therefrom. Historical waveform data are obtained from machines having known faults along with corresponding actions for repairing the machines and are used to develop fault classification rules. The fault classification rules are stored in a diagnostic knowledge database. The database of classification rules are used to diagnose new waveform data from a machine having an unknown fault.

  • Patent number: 6442542
Abstract: A diagnostic system is provided for identifying faults in a machine (e.g., CT scanner, MRI system, x-ray apparatus) by analyzing a data file generated thereby. The diagnostic system includes a trained database containing a plurality of trained data, each trained data associated with one of plurality of known fault types. Each trained data is represented by a trained set of feature values and corresponding weight values. Once a data file is generated by the machine, a current set of feature values are extracted from the data file by performing various analyses (e.g., time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, wavelet analysis). The current set of feature values extracted is analyzed by a fault detector which produces a candidate set of faults based on the trained set of feature values and corresponding weight values for each of the fault types. The candidate set of faults produced by the fault detector is presented to a user along with a recommend repair procedure.

  • Publication number: 20020111840
Abstract: A system for assisted performance of repetitive functions within a service engagement provides platform for storage and execution of processes and corresponding data. The platform includes libraries for storage of application packages, assets and artifacts. Application packages, assets and artifacts from within the library can be associated with engagements to provide models of the engagement and perform functions necessary in the course of the engagement. The assets and artifacts can be repetitively used by various application packages and other assets in order to achieve the various objectives of those application packages.

  • Patent number: 5589545
Abstract: Molded polymer blends comprising a polyolefin, e.g., polyethylene, a poly(alkylene oxide), e.g., poly(ethylene oxide), and a polylactone, e.g., polycaprolactone, are disclosed. The polymer blends are substantially homogeneous and become lubricious when exposed to water. The polymer blends are suitable for use, for example, in personal care articles such as lubricious strips for razors and in medical articles such as, for example, catheters and probes.
