  • Patent number: 11526875
Abstract: A system and method for preventing the double-spending of digital currency that transfers between multiple DLT networks. The system and method includes creating, based on a unit of fiat currency, a first digital currency of a first type on a first DLT network and a second digital currency of a second type on a second DLT network. Each of the first digital currency and the second digital currency simultaneously represent a value associated with the unit of fiat currency. The system and method includes detecting a transaction request to transfer the first digital currency from the first DLT network to the second DLT network. The system and method include locking, responsive to detecting the transaction request, the first digital currency onto the first DLT network to prevent a transfer of the first digital currency from the first DLT network to another DLT network responsive to a subsequent transaction request.

  • Patent number: 11170370
Abstract: A system and methods include a negative certificate authority for distributed management of negative certificates. An authorization restriction is associated with an untrusted user. A negative certificate generated for the untrusted user includes a public key associated with the untrusted user and an authorization restriction. The authorization restriction includes at least one global restriction, which is applicable to each consortium member that subscribes to the negative certificate. The authorization restriction includes at least one local restriction, which allows individual consortium members to further define their own locally applicable restrictions using the negative certificate authority. The negative certificate is accessible to each member of the consortium to enforce the authorization restriction against a transaction request. A secure contributor record including a unique cryptographically generated address is generated for each contributor.

  • Publication number: 20210209566
Abstract: A vehicle payment device (VPD) is described along with a financial institution computing system. The VPD allows for secure communication with a merchant terminal. The communication may be through NFC or other wireless technology. The VPD contains financial information that allows for payment of goods or services. In an alternative arrangement, the VPD allows for the financial information to be temporarily overridden or changed in the event of a new driver or user of the vehicle. The temporary financial information is then used for the payment of goods or services related to the vehicle. In another alternative arrangement, financial information is combined to allow the sharing of costs for payment of goods or services. The VPD may automatically detect the presence of alternate sources of financial information. Examples of alternate sources of financial information include mobile wallets on cellular phones or other mobile devices.

  • Patent number: 10735414
Abstract: A method for authenticating a user of a mobile electronic computing device to perform operations on a first electronic computing device includes receiving a request to access the first electronic computing device. In response to the request to access, a first identifier is sent to the mobile electronic computing device. A second identifier is received from a second electronic computing device. The second electronic computing device is different from the mobile electronic computing device. A determination is made as to whether the first identifier matches the second identifier. When the first identifier matches the second identifier, a trust score is calculated for the user. A determination is made as to whether the trust score is equal to or greater than a threshold. When the trust score is equal to or greater than the threshold, the user is authenticated to login to the first electronic computing device.

  • Patent number: 10735406
Abstract: A method implemented on an electronic computing device for facilitating access to user information includes receiving from a user data to be made available for access on the electronic computing device. A time duration for which the data is permitted to be accessed is received from the user. Conditions to be met in order for one of a plurality of entities to access the data are received from the user. A request from an entity is received to access the data. A determination is made as to whether the entity satisfies the conditions. A determination is made as to whether a time at which the request is made is within the time duration. When the entity satisfies the conditions and when the request is made within the time duration, the entity is permitted to access the data.

  • Patent number: 10581832
Abstract: A method for authenticating a user on the electronic computing device includes receiving a request to authenticate the user. First data is received from the electronic computing device. The first data comprises selections of the user of a plurality of locations from a picture displayed on the electronic computing device. The first data also comprises force data representing forces applied by the user when making the selections. The first data is compared with second data. A determination is made as to whether aspects of the first data correspond to aspects of the second data. When the aspects of the first data correspond to the aspects of the second data, the user is authenticated.
