  • Patent number: 9701917
Abstract: Disclosed herein are novel systems and methods for performing the following: decomposing water into hydrogen by using low-power consumption electrolysis, converting orthohydrogen into parahydrogen by using vibrational frequency, converting parahydrogen into atomic hydrogen, and mixing converted atomic hydrogen with combustible gas. The system uses a unique low-power hydrogen production cell to perform electrolysis on water. Hydrogen output from the production cell runs through coils under vibrational frequency to optimally convert orthohydrogen to parahydrogen. The system further comprises a magnetic reactor that is used to convert parahydrogen into atomic hydrogen, which is in turn mixed with combustible gas to create an eco-friendly fuel.

  • Publication number: 20130263542
Abstract: A transmission tower comprising a plurality of legs, each leg being formed of a composite material formed as a pultrusion of reinforcing fibers, a plurality of diagonal members extending between the legs, and a connection plate extending between an end of the diagonal member and the leg, the connecting member being formed of a plurality of layers of fibers and resin, the layers of fibers having differing fiber directions with respect to each other, the connecting member being adhesively secured to the leg and being connected to the diagonal member. The transmission tower is very light and has the requisite strength.

  • Publication number: 20070125032
Abstract: A structural assembly comprising profile members imparting axial strength to the assembly. The profile members extend along a length. Ribbon holds the profile members together along their length. The ribbon imparts lateral strength to the assembly by being braced to the profile members. A method for manufacturing the structural assembly comprises winding the ribbon about a support structure to form a bracing lattice, positioning the profile members in a predetermined position on the support structure; and bonding the profile members to the bracing lattice to form a structural assembly.

  • Patent number: 6376615
Abstract: The present invention describes the preparation of copolymers grafted by the so-called “grafting from” method, comprising two steps. In the first step, a polymer of a variable type referred to as poly(M1) is reacted with persistent free radicals of the type diphenyltrialkylsilyloxymethyl to form a reactive polymer poly(M1)F, containing a variable number F of these groups attached to the chain. F represents the average functionality of the reactive polymers and may be predetermined by controlling the ratio of poly(M1) and the free radical generator or TPES. In the second step, poly(M1)F is dissolved in a monomer M2 and then redissociated by heating to temperatures of 110-130° C. to produce the macroradical poly(M1) and the persistent radicals. The macroradical poly(M1) rapidly initiates polymerization whereas the diphenyltrialkylsilyloxymethyl radical stays temporarily on the sideline of the initiation reaction.

  • Patent number: 5980069
Abstract: A beacon light assembly shield for shield from ground level the light emitted by tower mounted beacon lights for aircraft, the assembly comprising a plurality of spaced concentric frustraconically shaped elements having a centrally located aperture, the element being interconnected, and each element being spaced from an adjacent element such that a distance between a first horizontal plane coincidental with an inner peripheral edge and a second horizontal plane coincidental with an outer peripheral edge is no greater than 75% of a distance between first horizontal planes of adjacent elements. The assembly effectively eliminates light pollution from ground level while permitting visual access for aircraft.
