Abstract: A shrouded chamber piñata is disclosed having an inner chamber and a surrounding outer chamber or shroud. The inner chamber has an opening on one side, and one or a plurality of handles fixably attached to the chamber and extending outwardly from the opening of that chamber. A pull line, fixably attached at one point to a first ribbon, and fixably attached at a second point to a ring, passes through at least one face of the chamber, so that when the pull line is pulled with sufficient force the chamber will rupture. A support member is attached to the inner chamber to provide attachment points for the first ribbon and additional ribbons. A shroud having openings on opposite sides is positioned atop the containing chamber to shroud the containing chamber. One of the shroud openings is positioned on the same side as the inner chamber opening.

Abstract: A container, typically for use as a pi{tilde over (n)}ata is disclosed. The container comprises a containing chamber having an opening on one side, and a plurality of handles fixably attached to the containing chamber and extending outwardly from the opening of that chamber; a pull line, fixably attached to the chamber, the pull line passing through at least one face of the chamber, so that when the pull line is pulled with sufficient force the chamber will rupture; and a shroud chamber having an opening on one side, and a plurality of slots on a side opposite the opening of the shroud chamber, that chamber being positioned atop the containing chamber to shroud the opening of the containing chamber with the side opposite the opening of the shroud chamber. The handles of the containing chamber are inserted into the slots of the shroud chamber so as to interlock the chambers.

Abstract: A pinata adapted to contain and release a plurality of small items includes two cooperating walls which are releasably held in assembled relation to define a substantially enclosed chamber for the items. One or more lines are employed to suspend the pinata, as well as to so hold the walls through, for example, the formation of a slip-knot or the releasable holding of a release pin by one of the lines against a washer, button or other similar element. Release of the walls from the assembled relation is accomplished by pulling one of a plurality of lines or ribbons connected to a line employed in the formation of the slip-knot, or connected to the release pin. Each of the plurality of lines or ribbons extends externally of the chamber, and the line or ribbon which is pulled to accomplish the release is indistinguishable from other lines or ribbons.

Abstract: A pinata comprising a housing enclosing a plurality of small items carried on a bottom wall. The bottom wall is formed with a central aperture through which the neck of a balloon is secured by means of a suspension string passing through the housing. Upon breaking of the balloon, the bottom wall falls away, releasing the items.

Abstract: A pinata for enclosing a plurality of small items carried on a bottom wall in which the bottom wall is formed with a line of weakness for enabling it to break-away upon application thereto of a moderate force such as obtained by shaking so that the items bounce on the bottom wall or by a child grabbing a pull line attached to the bottom wall.
