Abstract: A riding crop for striking a horse having a shaft formed of a rigid interior pole having a resilient exterior cover and a unitary popper is defined by an elongated body. The riding crop additionally includes a handle covering or positioned adjacent to the proximal end of the shaft. The popper is positioned over or adjacent to the distal end of the shaft, with the shaft extending between the handle and the popper. The handle provides a surface that allows a user to hold the riding crop and the popper is the portion of the riding crop intended to contact a horse. The popper is defined by an oblong, bulbous member which is formed as a unitary one-piece structure and which includes an aperture that extends longitudinally through the popper from the end which forms the distal end to the shaft.
