  • Patent number: 7812776
Abstract: The device permits remote actuation on the slope angle of an antenna consisting of two units, one electric and one mechanical, physically separated and connected forming a single arrangement, in which each of the units is provided with its own casing. The mechanical unit supports an electromotor coil positioning sensors, a driving gear, and a gear wheel engaged with the pinion. The electronic unit is provided with supply and communication connection terminals, an electronic circuit, a sensor for reading initial reference positioning and a casing. Both are connected by means of a cable and connector. Due to the independent manner in which the mechanical and electrical units are arranged, it is possible to obtain a watertight electronic unit protected from damp, independent replacement in a simple manner of both units, and the visualization of the indicator rod's position and movement.

  • Patent number: 7557675
Abstract: Mechanical phase shifter which from an external feed signal obtains several signals out of phase with each other, each one of which is applied to an antenna of an array, so that the result of the interference of the radiated fields provides a radiation pattern. The object of the invention is to obtain a greater range of pointing angles, achieved by protrusions or screws that act as capacitors or short-circuits that allow suppressing the higher modes generated in the phase shifter, as well as preventing part of the mutual coupling between the phase shifter L-lines. In addition, due to the greater length of the L-lines, these are reinforced by a protrusion perpendicular to the greater length of the line located on the outer edge of each L-line, and in addition they are provided with supporting means for the L-lines which minimize the vibrations, sag and deformations. The L-lines also increase the frequency at which higher modes appear.

  • Publication number: 20080231528
Abstract: Cavity antenna excited with one or several dipoles in a single piece, which has on the element that excites the cavity a metallic plate connected to earth and which allows the input impedance of the antenna to be adjusted as well as the reflections in the radome, by means of the adjustment of the distance with respect to the back wall of the cavity, avoiding through the connection to earth that the antenna becomes charged electrostatically. The cavity assembly and the metallic plate allow a broader bandwidth, moreover a simpler control is achieved in the adjustment of the level of crosspolar polarization, as well as of the decoupling between dipoles by modification in the shape of the metallic plate. The grouping of the antennas in an array is possible in an immediate manner with no need to alter the size or shape of the cavities or of the dipoles which excite said cavities.
