    Abstract: Disclosed herein is an improvement on a backplate which is used to hold and lock a gun. The improvements include providing stop elements on various parts of the backplate so as to not only constrain the gun from rotation around the trigger guard, but also to provide an additional structure which will prevent the hammer of a gun from being cocked and fired.
