  • Publication number: 20240114663
Abstract: A cooling system is described that includes a housing portion at least partially defining a cooling cavity, the housing portion including a member having multiple fins extending from a surface thereof into the cooling cavity. The cooling system also includes multiple walls, each of the walls supported in the cooling cavity by at least one of the fins. The walls are configurable, and a configuration of the walls establishes one of multiple paths for fluid flow through the cooling cavity.

  • Publication number: 20230195148
Abstract: An electrical assembly may include an electrical component including a terminal and/or circuit electrically connectable to a controller. The circuit may include a temperature sensor disposed proximate the terminal. The circuit may be configured to initiate a status change of said controller if a temperature of the terminal reaches a predetermined threshold. A method of operating an electrical assembly may include providing power from a power source to an electrical component and/or one or more loads, passively monitoring a current of the electrical component, and/or activating the status change of said controller if the current exceeds a current threshold.

  • Patent number: 11056871
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a busbar assembly for a vehicle is provided. The assembly includes a printed circuit board (PCB), a first plate, a second plate, and a third plate. The first plate supported on the PCB and is configured to enable a first current to flow in a first direction. The second plate is supported on the PCB and includes a first portion positioned below the first plate to enable a second current to flow in a second direction. The third plate is on the PCB and is positioned below the second plate to enable the first current to flow in the first direction. The second current that flows through the second plate is increased through an effective cross-section of the second plate when the flow of the second current in the second direction is different than the flow of the first current in the first direction.

  • Publication number: 20200357560
Abstract: An inductive assembly is provided with a heat exchanger and an inductor. A thermally conductive adhesive is disposed upon a surface of the inductor and bonded to the heat exchanger to transfer heat from the inductor to the heat exchanger. An inductive coil assembly is provided with a frame. A post is connected to the frame. At least one inductive coil is installed upon the post. A thermally conductive coating is disposed over the at least one inductive coil.

  • Publication number: 20140247099
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, an apparatus including a relay is provided. The relay includes a coil, a terminal, and a thermal conductive material. The coil generates heat in response to a current. The terminal includes a first contact positioned thereon. The coil and the terminal define a cavity there between. The thermal conductive material is positioned in the cavity and is in thermal communication with the coil and the first contact to transfer heat from the coil to the first contact.
