  • Patent number: 10374897
Abstract: Technologies for autonegotiation of communications operational modes over copper cable include a network port logic having a communication link coupled to a remote link partner. The network port logic may start an autonegotiation protocol upon reset, when the link is broken, or upon manual renegotiation. The network port logic transmits an autonegotiation page to the remote link partner that indicates single-lane communications ability over copper cable. The network port logic receives an autonegotiation page from the link partner indicating single-lane communications ability over copper cable. If the network port logic and link partner have a common single-lane communication ability, the link may be activated. The autonegotiation pages may be base pages or next pages. The single-lane communication ability may be indicated by one or more bits of the autonegotation pages. The link may be established at 1 gigabit or 10 gigabits per second. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 10374999
Abstract: Anonymous comments and comment rooms can improve privacy and facilitate user activity in a collaboration content item system. Some embodiments may include a method for providing comment rooms for collaboration content items. Multiple users are associated with a comment room for a collaboration content item. Comments, annotations, or content updates to a collaboration content item performed within a comment room are visible only to the users associated with the comment room. The system can manage different versions of a collaboration content item, having different comments, annotations, or content for each comment room. A comment room may include anonymous comments. An anonymous comment for a collaboration content item is presented with a representation of an anonymous user, such as an anonymous avatar generated based on an anonymous user identifier of the anonymous user.

  • Patent number: 10374751
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for preventing false packet acceptance in high-speed links. Under one aspect, correctable symbol errors are detected, and determination is made to whether a symbol error rate or ratio (SER) exceeds an SER threshold. In response to detection of such a condition, the link is disconnected or temporarily paused. The value for the SER threshold is determined using a statistical analysis of various link parameters to meet desired performance levels, such as a mean time to false packet acceptance (MTTFPA) of >approximately 15 billion years while providing a mean time to disconnect of >100 years.

  • Publication number: 20190235860
Abstract: Enabling quick feature delivery is essential for product success and is therefore a goal of software architecture design. But how may we determine if and to what extent an architecture is “good enough” to support feature addition and modification, or determine if a refactoring effort is successful in that features may be added more easily? The applications may use Feature Space and Feature Dependency, derived from a software project's revision history that capture the dependency relations among the features of a system in a feature dependency structure matrix (FDSM), using features as first-class design elements. The applications may also use a Feature Decoupling Level (FDL) metric that may be used to measure the level of independence among features.

  • Publication number: 20190238209
Abstract: In order to enable asynchronous, autonomous reception beam switching at a UE while minimizing degradation due to a transient in link performance, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives CSI-RS on different reception beams in different symbols, wherein one reception beam being a current serving reception beam, and determines whether to switch to a different reception beam based on a SPEFF metric for the different reception beam and/or a severity of a potential link transient qualified in terms of the expected CQI/MCS degradation in the channel. The apparatus may switch from a current serving reception beam to a second reception beam when a first channel quality for the current serving reception beam is within a threshold value of a second channel quality for the second reception beam, the second channel quality being measured using a current configuration.

  • Publication number: 20190231973
Abstract: A needle insertion and retraction mechanism for a drug delivery device, comprises a motion source, a user-operated control for the motion source, an interrupter for stopping motion of the motion source at a predetermined location and thereby dividing the motion into two parts which are continuous relative to each other. A motion translation mechanism connects the source of continuous motion to a needle, to extend the needle during the first motion part and to retract the needle during the second motion part. The needle is thus extended and retracted by continued operation of a single tension source rather than two tension sources operating in opposition to each other. The motion source may be a spring, and a winding mechanism may be provided to wind the spring. The second motion part may be initiated by pulling the adhered delivery device from the skin.
