Publication number: 20260011104Abstract: Generating a 3D representation of a subject includes obtaining a set of images of a subject. For each sample point, a classifier value is obtained based on each image. The classifier value indicates a relationship of the sample point to an interior or exterior of a volume of the subject. In addition, deformation data is determined for the subject across the image. The classifier values are fused based on the deformation data, and a 3D occupation field is determined for the subject based on the fused classifier values.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 10, 2025Publication date: January 8, 2026Inventors: Ran Luo, Olivier Soares, Andrew R. Patent number: 11802992Abstract: The present invention belongs to the field of nowcasting early-warning technology, and discloses a thunderstorm gale early-warning method, system, equipment and terminal. The thunderstorm gale early-warning method comprises: preprocessing single radar data to identify potential thunderstorm gale areas; and in real-time service, calling the thunderstorm gale parameter model in the potential thunderstorm gale areas identified by single radar every time to perform extrapolation for 1 hour, thereby forming a thunderstorm gale early-warning product within the next hour. The thunderstorm gale early-warning method provided by the present invention makes full use of the identification technology of dual polarization radar to identify the potential of thunderstorm gale, acquires falling areas of potential thunderstorm gale within the next hour by the extrapolation technology, and has better advance and accuracy compared with the existing thunderstorm gale early-warning method.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2022Date of Patent: October 31, 2023Assignee: Zhejiang Meteorological ObservatoryInventors: Ling Luo, Xuanxuan Huang, Wenjuan Li, Juan Huang, Xiaofen Lou, Lie Chen, Guiyang Su, Ran Luo, Zhicha Zhang, Lei Zhang

Patent number: 11430168Abstract: An electronic device for object rigging includes a processor. The processor is configured to obtain a 3D scan of an object. The processor is also configured to match a rigged parametric model to the 3D scan by minimizing a surface distance and 3D joint errors between the rigged parametric model and the 3D scan. The processor is further configured to identify a correspondence between the rigged parametric model and the 3D scan. Additionally, the processor is configured to transfer attributes of the rigged parametric model to the 3D scan based on the correspondence to generate a rigged 3D scan. The processor is also configured to apply animation motion to the rigged 3D scan. The rigged 3D scan with the applied animation motion is rendered on a display.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2020Date of Patent: August 30, 2022Assignee: Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Ran Luo, Xiaohu Guo, Saifeng Ni

Publication number: 20120055185Abstract: An extra low temperature refrigeration system consisting of a two-stage compressor that has an electronic controller. The electronic controller controls an electric expansion valve in the evaporator, which modulates the true superheat. There is also an electric pressure control valve in the condenser, which modulates the head pressure in cool mode, and the suction pressure in defrost mode. The defrost cycle uses a reversing valve. The liquid refrigerant for the inter-stage sub-cooling circuit is constantly provided by a sub-condenser separated from a conventional one condenser system. Therefore, the system provides constant cooling for the compressor motor windings as the compressor runs. There is a one-way pathway from the main condenser circuit to the sub-condenser circuit. This pathway will call for more refrigerant from the main circuit to the sub-cooling circuit as demanded. The inter-stage sub-cooling circuit uses an electric expansion valve true superheat control for its sub-cooler.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 31, 2011Publication date: March 8, 2012Inventors: Ran Luo, Kenneth W. Owen
