  • Patent number: 8739693
Abstract: A charcoal cooker employs a grill for cooking steaks and a rotisserie for slower cooking of ribs, chicken, turkey, or the like. A tubular spit rod has spike rings that can interchange with a grill basket assembly. The spit rod is hollow tubular stainless steel, with a thicker central portion and smaller diameter end portions. These serve as handles and remain cool to the touch, so the rotisserie spit can be lifted out by grasping the ends to remove the cooked meat for serving. A chain drive engages a sprocket on one end of the spit rod for rotating the spit. Detachable spit support arms mount on the cooker body to hold the spit rod when loading the meat. An external fire box attachment fits onto a coal chute port, so the cooker can be used as an oven for baking or roasting. The legs, lid, grills, and other parts can be detached for cleaning.

  • Patent number: 8677891
Abstract: A compact portable charcoal-fired barbecue cooker is convertible for rotisserie cooking or for grill cooking. The cooker has a fire basket or charcoal grate, which can swing or rotate between a lowered, horizontal position, used for grilling, and a raised or upright position, used for rotisserie cooking, by turning a handle positioned outside the cooker body. The rotisserie spit drops into receptacles formed in the left and right side walls of the cooker body, and with the charcoal grate upright, a drip pan can be positioned under the spit. The vents are positioned so the heated air flows over the roast. A reflector or heat shield is positioned between the upright fire basket and the rear wall of the cooker. A locking tab can releasably retain the handle in the upright position. The entire cooker can be picked up using the handle affixed to the lid.

  • Patent number: 7958992
Abstract: A dust control inspection door has its door frame formed of frame elements each with a flat outer portion against the associated shroud, and with the seal flange or coaming radiused 90 degrees. The edge of the seal flange or coaming is perpendicular to the door to engage the gasket or seal bead, and is at zero degrees to the frame flat portions, so there is no angled bend line and no weak zones. The coaming is free of any horizontal surfaces on which dust may collect.

  • Patent number: 7121418
Abstract: A store fixture for displaying apparel or other hangable merchandise employs a horizontal support bar that is supported at an elevated position, and at least one swing-arm hang bar is pivotally supported situated underneath the horizontal support bar. The swing-arm hang bar has one or more projecting rods or tubes serving as arms on which the hangable merchandise can be suspended. The swing arm has a sleeve journaled on a pivot that is affixed to the support arm. There is a detent arrangement provided between the pivot and the sleeve, so that the swing-arm hang bar releasably locks into a first position that is at one angle to the horizontal support bar, parallel to the support bar, and a second position that is at another angle, a right angle, to it. Store personnel can change the orientation of the hang bars by simply lifting them up slightly to release the detents and ten rotating them to the desired position. Re-arranging the hang bars does not require any tools, nor removal or installation of any parts.

  • Patent number: 6745648
Abstract: A lock-nut wrench has an elongated handle and a head at one or both ends of the handle. The head or heads have right and left arcuate jaws with distal ends that define a gap and each jaw has a first radially inwardly directed tooth at its distal end and a second radially inwardly directed tooth spaced proximally from it, defining spaces to accommodate diametrically opposed lugs. An offset can join each head to the handle. The inside of the head, that is, the inside of the jaws proximal of the second teeth, define a cylindrical surface that matches the radial outer extent of the lock nut lugs. The wrench can operate as a spanner, and can accommodate either a six- or an eight-lug lock nut. The handle is coated with an insulating plastic material. The ends of the jaws can be snubbed or hog-nosed. The wrench head may be adapted for use with a socket wrench handle. The wrench can be formed by laser-machining sheet or plate metal stock.

  • Patent number: 5084171
Abstract: An oil recovery mop has a floating carriage, a handle, and a number of oil-absorbing pads or squares suspended from the carriage. The carriage has a pair of tubular pontoons that support a crossbar at a clearance over the surface of the water, and the pads are removably attached to spring clips on the crossbar. When the oil mop is pushed out, one side of each pad faces the surface to absorb spilled oil. When the oil mop is pulled in, the pads reverse themselves and the other side faces down to absorb oil.
