  • Patent number: 10914048
Abstract: A height adjustable device pit (10) is provided for use in installing water meters (12) or other equipment below ground level. The device pit (10) includes a lower housing section (14), an upper housing section (16), and a lid (18). The lower housing section (14) and the upper housing section (16) are engaged with each other by mating screw threads (20) and (22) that are centered on a vertical, longitudinal axis (24). The housing sections (14,16) are movable relative to each other along the longitudinal axis (24) to adjust the vertical height of the device pit (10) in response to relative rotation of the housing sections (14) and (16) about the longitudinal axis (24).

  • Patent number: 8920131
Abstract: A pump control (20) and method are provided for controlling a pump (16) for a pressurized liquid supply system (10). The pump control (20) includes a controller (38) configured to provide at least two selectable modes of pump operation as follows: a flow start mode wherein the controller (38) starts the pump (16) in response to a desired start flow rate of the liquid in the system (10) and stops the pump (16) in response to a desired stopping low flow rate of the liquid in the system; and a pressure start mode wherein the controller (38) starts the pump (16) in response to a desired start pressure of the liquid in the system (10) and stops the pump (16) in response to the desired stopping low flow rate.

  • Patent number: 6189807
Abstract: A spraying system having a control valve with an inlet port for connection to a liquid supply, a discharge port for connection to a spray nozzle, and a return port for connection to the liquid supply. The control valve includes a valve member which has a liquid flow passageway and is movable between an open position in which the liquid flow passageway communicates between the inlet and discharge ports for permitting the direction of pressurized liquid to the spray nozzle and a second position which prevents the flow of pressurized liquid to the discharge port. The spray nozzle has an associated pressure responsive check valve for preventing the flow of liquid to the spray nozzle, and hence for preventing drippage, upon movement of the control valve member to the off position.

  • Patent number: 6036107
Abstract: A spraying system is provided with a plurality of spray sections, a discharge line coupled to each of the spray sections, and a control valve connected to each discharge line for regulating the flow of liquid from the discharge line to the spray section. The control valves are mounted in side-by-side relation and each have a housing with outwardly projecting retaining flanges formed thereon. The spraying systems also including plastic mounting clamps for connecting together the retaining flanges of adjacent control valves. The plastic mounting clamps each having separate first and second clamping members. The first and second clamping members each having a respective retaining section secured in overlying relation to the retaining flanges of adjacent control valves for captively securing the retaining flanges together.
