  • Publication number: 20240132361
Abstract: A carbon pitch or dry coke is produced by reacting a mixture of carbon dioxide and hydrogen in a reactor at a predetermined temperature and pressure with an iron catalyst being fed into the reactor, using a process that also involves production of methane from the reaction gases. The reaction product is cooled. The reaction product may be graphitized in a reaction vessel under reduced pressure, heating the vessel at a predetermined rate and injecting an inert gas flow. The vessel is heated to a temperature of between 1600° C. and 2800° C. and maintained at that temperature for hours. The vessel is cooled and the reaction products removed.

  • Patent number: 11915775
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure are drawn to apparatuses and methods for bad row mode. The memory may prevent proper access operations (e.g., read operations) from being performed on a selected bad row of the memory as part of a bad row mode. For example, the memory may store a bad row address and when an access address matches the bad row address, may suppress one or more signals, change data read from the address, or combinations thereof. The bad row mode may be used to provide a positive control for post package repair (PPR) operations on the memory. A controller may enter the memory into bad row mode and then test the memory to determine if the selected bad row can be located and repaired via PPR.

  • Patent number: 11074516
Abstract: Dynamic generation and implementation of assignment mappings of data items in large data files to distributed processors to achieve objectives such as reduced overall processing time like. Any appropriate key (e.g., character string) can be identified or obtained for each data item in a data file and the file can be segmented into sequential data blocks, where each data block includes a set of data items. The data items in each of a first plurality of the blocks (e.g., sampled block set) may be initially sorted into one of a plurality of key ranges of a search space (each corresponding to a different respective processor) and analyses conducted on the data items totals in each key range. The key range boundaries can be adjusted by accounting for uncertainty in the sample estimates to more evenly distribute data items from all blocks sent to each processor and thereby achieve the objective.

  • Publication number: 20210053831
Abstract: Methods of forming solid carbon products include disposing a plurality of nanotubes in a press, and applying heat to the plurality of carbon nanotubes to form the solid carbon product. Further processing may include sintering the solid carbon product to form a plurality of covalently bonded carbon nanotubes. The solid carbon product includes a plurality of voids between the carbon nanotubes having a median minimum dimension of less than about 100 nm. Some methods include compressing a material comprising carbon nanotubes, heating the compressed material in a non-reactive environment to form covalent bonds between adjacent carbon nanotubes to form a sintered solid carbon product, and cooling the sintered solid carbon product to a temperature at which carbon of the carbon nanotubes do not oxidize prior to removing the resulting solid carbon product for further processing, shipping, or use.
