  • Patent number: 5056568
Abstract: A method for transferring fluids from multiple source containers to a single receiving container wherein fluid is transferred from a source container to a transfer chamber under the influence of a differential pressure and under the control of an occlusion force between the source container and the transfer chamber; the amount of fluid in the transfer chamber is confirmed; and, subsequently, the fluid is transferred from the transfer chamber to the receiving container under the influence of a differential pressure and under the control of an occlusion force between the transfer chamber and the receiving container.

  • Patent number: 5029658
Abstract: A filter system for mass/weight apparatus that produces an electrical signal correlated to a mass/weight including a mechanical design for the apparatus so that the resonant vibrational frequency thereof falls above signal components of interest in the electrical signal, a fifth order low pass analog signal, and a digital low pass filter having 21/2 poles at a cut-off frequency designated so as to preserve signed characteristics in the signal of interest and significantly attenuate signal characteristics due to resonant vibrational noise.

  • Patent number: 4967811
Abstract: A device is described for accurately transferring multiple individual fluids from multiple source containers into a single receiving container. Fluid flows from the multiple source containers through individual fluid conduits to a chamber having a single fluid outlet conduit. The fluid outlet conduit is in fluid communication with a single receiving container. A pressure conduit is in communication with the chamber for alternately creating positive and negative pressures in the chamber to cause fluid to flow from the individual source containers into the chamber, and to cause fluid to flow from the chamber into the receiving container in response to commands from a control means in the device.

  • Patent number: 4554492
Abstract: A system is provided for increasing the control accuracy of a motor 12 which feeds back a signal to a motor control circuit 14. The motor control circuit output 20 provides a command voltage to the motor winding. The motor control circuit 14 has an input 18 for receiving an input command from a source external of the motor 12. The actual speed of the motor shaft 26 is sensed and data representative of this actual speed is transmitted through a frequency to voltage converter 36 and an analog to digital converter 40 to a microprocessor 46 which calculates an input command based upon the received actual motor speed data. The input command is transmitted from the microprocessor 46 through a digital to analog converter 58 to the motor control circuit input 18. The command voltage from the output 20 of the motor control circuit 14 is adjusted in response to variations in the input command transmitted from the microprocessor 46.

  • Patent number: 4469480
Abstract: The present invention provides an accurate method and apparatus for monitoring the drop flow rate from a fluid source. The method and apparatus allows for an intermittent drop flow rate by accumulating a weighted drop period rate error factor which is adjusted for each drop period detected.A drop period window is adjusted by each drop period and is utilized to determine if the current drop period is within the window indicating a normal operation. Drop periods outside the window cause a factor to be added to the accumulated error factor and drop periods within the window cause a factor to be subtracted from the accumulated error factor. This allows good periods to offset bad periods, so that minor fluctuations in the drop periods during normal operation can be ignored.
