The invention is directed to treating a mammal that will benefit from the administration of naturally occurring material found in eggshell membrane, processed eggshell membrane, eggshell membrane isolates and combinations thereof by administering to the mammal a composition containing eggshell membrane, processed eggshell membrane, eggshell membrane isolates and combinations thereof, alone or in combination with other active ingredients.

Abstract: The present invention relates to anti-inflammatory activity of eggshell membrane, processed eggshell membrane preparations and eggshell membrane isolates. The invention is directed to eggshell membrane compositions exhibiting anti-inflammatory activity as measured by effects on down-regulating pro-inflammatory plasma antigens in mammals that had orally ingested such compositions. This information supports the potential benefits from administration of naturally occurring material found in eggshell membrane, processed eggshell membrane, eggshell membrane isolates and combinations to reduce pain and inflammation associated with arthritis and other inflammatory conditions.

A request is received from a small screen device for data over a first network using a first communication protocol. The request is translated from the first communication protocol to a second communication protocol. The request is then forwarded to a sever having the requested data using the second communication protocol. The requested data is received from the sever using the second communication protocol, wherein the requested data is in a first presentation format. The requested data is reformatted in a second presentation format different from the first presentation format.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of inferring the engine coolant temperature in cylinder head temperature sensor equipped vehicles including the steps of measuring the cylinder head temperature, calculating the engine coolant temperature from the measured cylinder head temperature as a function of at least one vehicle operational state, generating a signal for the calculated engine coolant temperature, and sending the generated signal to a display.
