  • Patent number: 10952430
Abstract: A shelf-stable concentrated antimicrobial composition comprising at least one cyclic carboxylic acid and/or salt thereof in an amount from about 2 wt. % to about 4 wt. %; at least one anionic surfactant and/or salt thereof in an amount from about 22 wt. % to about 32 wt. %; at least one non-surfactant strong acid (i.e. having a pKa less than about 2.3) in an amount from about 8 wt. % to about 18 wt. %; and at least one chelating agent in an amount from about 0.1 wt. % to about 2 wt. %. The composition retains at least 90% of its original antimicrobial efficacy after storage for at least five years at room temperature, and is substantially free of additional antimicrobial compounds including hydrogen peroxide, sources of hydrogen peroxide, essential oils, parabens, aldehydes, aldehyde releasing agents, phenols, antiseptic alcohols, biguanides, peroxycarboxylic acids, quaternary ammonium compounds, chlorine compounds, enzymes, and etchants.

  • Publication number: 20190297881
Abstract: Antimicrobial composition (e.g. ready-to-use and concentrated solutions) having a pH of from about 0 to about 4.5, and comprising a synergistic combination of at least one peroxygen compound, and at least one anionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of alkyl sarcosines and salts thereof having the formula (A): wherein R1 is a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated, branched or unbranched C8-24 alkyl, R2 is a hydrogen or an alkaline moiety. The solutions are free of percarboxylic acids and precursors thereof, essential oils, bleaching agents, low molecular weight organic diamines, cationic surfactants, C1-C4 aldehydes, ferrous salts, parabens, enzymes, and a poly(alkylene glycol) alkyl ethers containing four or more ether linkages. Dry compositions, uses and methods for sanitization, disinfection and sterilization are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20180279610
Abstract: A synergistic antimicrobial composition comprising, consisting essentially of, or consisting of: a. at least one monoalkyl glycerol ether of formula I wherein any one of R1, R2 and R3 is a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated C1-C24 alkyl group and the other of R1, R2 and R3 are each hydrogen; and b. at least one nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of from about 6 to about 24; wherein the composition is free of bispyridiniumalkanes.

  • Publication number: 20180235231
Abstract: An aqueous disinfecting solution and uses and methods of disinfection and sanitization employing same. The solution comprises at least one inorganic salt selected from the group consisting of sulfate, chloride, bromide, iodide, carbonate, phosphate, fluoride, and nitrate salts in a concentration of from about 0.1 to about 15 wt. %; at least one peroxide compound in a concentration of from about 0.01 to about 8 wt. %; and at least one amphoteric amine oxide surfactant having the formula R1R2R3NO wherein each of R1, R2, and R3 is independently a saturated, unsaturated, substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched alkyl group having from 1 to 28 carbon atoms in a concentration of from about 0.01 to about 15 wt. %.
