Abstract: An improved riding crop that allows a horseback rider to retain the crop on her hand without needing to tightly grip the crop includes a rod having opposite ends, a clapper fixed at one or both ends of the rod, a grip fixed to the rod or slidably retained on the rod, and an elastic cord extending from opposite ends of the grip and through an adjustable cord lock. Other preferred embodiments include a clapper fixed at each of the opposite ends of the rod, and a grip slidably retained on the rod between a clapper at one end of the rod and a stop located between the opposite end of the rod and the midpoint of the rod, which allow a rider to use either end of the crop for cueing the horse.

Abstract: A cargo storage apparatus that is secured to the side walls of a pick-up flatbed truck. A netting is attached to a hanger rod via a series of rings. Affixed onto the hanger are a set of hooks. Alternatively, handles may be sewn directly into the netting with hooks fastened to extensions of the netting. A set of clamps are secured to the overhang portion of a truck's sidewalls. Each clamp has an aperture which corresponds with a hook on the hanger rods or a hook connected to an extension of the netting. Once assembled, a large cargo storage area is provided. A divider member may be used to separate the storage area into sub-compartments. The apparatus can be quickly and easily installed without damage to the side walls of the truck and may be collapsed for compact storage. The use of handles enables easy removal and transport of the apparatus while containing cargo therein.

Abstract: An object throwing and catching apparatus having a strap with handles and bridging members to define an object receiving area around netting or solid material. Elastic strips are present in the bridging members to cause them to contract creating a cradle effect in the netting. Such a cradle enhances control of the object to be thrown and caught and enables the object to be easily catapulted via the snap action created by the cradle. For use with water balloons, bursting clips and netting knots may be provided on the apparatus to facilitate breakage of the water balloon. VELCRO fasteners may also be provided on the receiving surface of the apparatus as well as the ball to be caught to facilitate overall control.

Abstract: A holder for VCR and TV remote control units and other articles of like dimension in the form of a one-piece extrusion having a central web like panel with a predetermined length and thickness dimension adapted to removably receive thereon the unit or article to be held by the holder. The holder has a pair of side walls disposed in spaced apart parallel relationship connected to said web panel along the opposite longitudinal edges thereof. The central web is positioned approximately midway between the opposite longitudinal edges of each side wall such that the holder generally has an "H" configuration in transverse cross section. The side walls have their respective height dimensions, in a horizontal orientation of the center web, equal to one another and slightly greater than the maximum thickness dimension of the associated remote control unit or article to be held by the holder so that the same is nestable within the confines of receiving space defined by the side walls and center web panel.
