  • Patent number: 8334762
Abstract: A communications assembly is adapted for use with a helmet worn by a person riding a vehicle with a light indication system. The communication assembly includes a control circuit fixedly secured to the helmet. An illumination display is operatively connected to the control circuit and fixedly secured to a back surface of the helmet. The illumination display emits light rearward of the helmet. A transmitter is electrically connected to the light indication system of the vehicle for transmitting signals as a function of a status of the light indication system. A receiver is electrically connected to the control circuit for receiving the signals transmitted by the transmitter.
