  • Patent number: 7866570
Abstract: A sprinkler stand for holding an oscillating sprinkler in an elevated and generally vertical orientation to provide a desired sprinkler coverage pattern, wherein a sprinkler holder holds a sprinkler, a frame elevates and supports the sprinkler holder, and a base supports the frame. Preferably, the sprinkler holder includes two tracks for engaging base members of a sprinkler, wherein the tracks allow for the repositioning of the sprinkler so as to vary the sprinkler elevation, the height of the sprinkler holder is adjustable by moving the holder along the frame, or by adding a frame extender to the frame, and the sprinkler holder may be rotated, or the frame rotatably or angularly adjusted to achieve a desired sprinkler orientation.

  • Publication number: 20070295545
Abstract: A differential steering and traction control system for an electrically propelled mower. Each of the front wheels has an electric motor wheel drive, and each rear wheel may have an electric steering motor. The operator's station has a steering wheel and a speed control. An electronic controller provides steering commands to the electric steering motor and separate speed commands to each electric motor wheel drive based on the angle of the rear wheel and the position of the speed control.

  • Publication number: 20050184611
Abstract: A rotor for a permanent magnet motor includes a rotor body and a plurality of permanent magnets carried by the rotor body. The rotor body has an outside rotor surface with a plurality of dovetail slots formed on the outside rotor surface. Each magnet is fit within one of the slots, protruding outward of the outside rotor surface in a radial direction. According to another embodiment, a rotor is provided having a rotor body that carries a plurality of magnets on its outside surface, and end caps that are fastened respectively to longitudinal ends of the rotor body. The end caps each have a angled rim surfaces that overhangs an end portion of the outer magnet surface of each of the magnets to retain the magnets onto the rotor body. The angled rim surfaces and the magnets can be configured such that by drawing the end caps tightly against the rotor body by use of fasteners, the magnets are wedged down onto the rotor body by the angled rim surfaces.
