  • Patent number: 8388283
Abstract: An apparatus for collecting weld tip chips created by a weld tip dresser is provided that “catches” the chips at the cutting tool and collects them in a container, preventing their disbursement on the factory floor. The apparatus includes a body adapted for connection to the weld tip dresser and with an opening therethrough configured to permit the weld tip dresser therethrough. The body defines an air inlet passage extending from an outer surface of the body to the opening. The body defines an air outlet passage from the opening to the outer surface. A pressurized air supply is connected to the body at the air inlet passage and is configured to blow air through the air inlet passage to blow chips from the opening through the air outlet passage. A container is operatively connected to the body at the air outlet passage for collecting chips blown from the opening.

  • Patent number: 8096031
Abstract: A hand tool that can be used to physically engage a release feature on a push-lock fitting so that a tube, hose, or other conduit can be easily inserted into and/or removed from the fitting. This can be particularly useful with industrial machines that have a number of pneumatic fittings installed close together in a tight proximity. According to one embodiment, the hand tool includes an elongated body portion, engagement portions located at opposing ends of the body portion, and transition portions located therebetween. Each engagement portion includes an open pocket for fitting around the tube, and a contact surface for engaging the release feature.

  • Patent number: 7523690
Abstract: A resurfacing tool and method of operation for a weld gun lug having a lug face is disclosed. The resurfacing tool may comprise a hollow chip retention housing having a lug entrance, a bushing opening, and a chip retention area. A rotary attachment shaft extends through the lug entrance and rotates relative to the retention housing, driven by a rotary power tool. A cutting head assembly is mounted to the rotary attachment shaft in the retention housing for rotation with the rotary attachment shaft, with the cutting head assembly having a cutting head facing toward the lug entrance. A member defines an alignment bore oriented coaxially relative to the rotary attachment shaft. A guide pin has a lug attachment portion configured to attach to the weld gun lug normal to the cable bolt attachment hole, and a pilot shaft telescopically received in the alignment bore.
