Patent number: 11744185Abstract: An apparatus and method for separating plant flowers from stalks by means of a lateral rotating tube having a plurality of flexible, elongated members affixed to and extending radially outward from the tube. The apparatus may include a platform and a frame supporting the tube above the platform to accommodate plants held between the platform and the tube so that when the tube is rotating, the elongated members affixed thereto brush against the plants and cause the flowers to brush off at and separate from the stalks. The frame further supports a housing to form a contained space, with a hood to direct the flow of flowers after separation from the stalks. The back wall is positioned a distance away from the platform to allow separated flower and stalk to be eliminated from the apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2020Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Inventor: Randall Hughes Wilkins

Patent number: 11651570Abstract: Disclosed herein are related to systems and methods for providing artificial reality. In one aspect, a console receives feedback information indicative of a first completion time from a head wearable display (HWD). The HWD may complete generating a first image frame at the first completion time. The HWD may display the first image frame. In one aspect, the console compares a display time, at which the first image frame is displayed by the HWD, and the first completion time. In one aspect, the console adjusts, according to the comparison, image processing, to adjust a second completion time, at which the console completes generating a second image frame. In one aspect, the console generates, via the adjusted image processing, the second image frame to provide to the HWD.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2021Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: Meta Platforms Technologies, LLCInventors: Behnam Bastani, James Randal Hughes, Reza Nourai

Patent number: 10267429Abstract: An improved life hydraulic valve actuator for a mold used in an injection molding machine. The actuator includes a housing for insertion into a hot runner assembly having a movable valve gate pin. A bore in the housing for receives an actuation piston which is connected to the gate pin. A hydraulic chamber in the assembly lifts the piston upward and downward for actuation of the pin in a valve gate. The actuation piston includes a centrally located circumferential double lip seal. The wall of the bore includes a pair of circumferential seals for engaging the outer circumference of the piston. The seals are positioned axially on either side of said centrally located double lip seal of the piston for sealing and guiding the piston. The circumferential bore seals include a Teflon ring which protects the bore in the event of seal failure and a second seal made of a Viton material. The seals in combination increase the longevity of the actuator over three fold than a similar actuation valve.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 2016Date of Patent: April 23, 2019Assignee: Magna Exteriors Inc.Inventors: Randall Hugh Eckerich, Steve Robert Moore, Enzo Cremasco

Publication number: 20060148967Abstract: The present invention is directed to the provision of premixed aqueous compositions which are used to provide a paint composition of varying finish characteristics at the point of sale. Thus, the merchant distributing the paint composition made from the subject premixed compositions need only maintain inventory of four compositions. The particular compositions which are the subject of the invention exhibit stable characteristics during storage in their respective reservoirs. The compositions include a pigment composition, a dispersant thickening agent, a high resin content binder, and a low resin content binder. The compositions are combined in differing amounts to produce paint compositions being suitable for either interior or exterior use and having differing sheens, quality levels, and color bases.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2006Publication date: July 6, 2006Inventors: C.
